This year marks a momentous milestone for the Monterey Peninsula Foundation (MPF), as it passes $200 million in charitable giving. A long-standing partner of the PGA Tour, MPF holds world-class charity golf events to raise money to transform communities across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties in California. The proceeds from MPF events support more than 200 nonprofits through a competitive grant-making process, and the secure management of data throughout this grant-making cycle is vital to MPF’s operations.

With the help of Citrix as the Official Innovation Partner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, MPF has deployed technology to support collaboration, app delivery and security, and secure access. This has helped to streamline tournament planning and empowered a more agile workflow, while at the same time creating more time for MPF to focus on its mission and the communities it serves.

Before implementing Citrix, MPF dealt with the same difficulties many organizations experience when they don’t have a comprehensive portfolio of products that enables them to create modern, seamless, secure workflows across every aspect of the business. MPF employees had to work across a myriad of digital tools, which created opportunities for confusion, misunderstanding, and duplicative work throughout the planning and coordination of the tournament. The reliance on disconnected digital communication and project management systems cost MPF time, energy, and money.

“Our tournament team is constantly on the go, working from home, the office, and three golf courses,” said Steve John, CEO of MPF and Director of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. “Thanks to Citrix, we have quick, secure access to information we need, when we need it, anywhere, from any device.  Citrix helps us stay current with the ever-changing technology landscape and enables seamless coordination of all stakeholders like tournament players, sponsors, vendors and volunteers.”

Since the implementation of Citrix, MPF team has improved collaboration across the organization and communication has gotten easier, not to mention the greater peace of mind around the security of their data. Together, these elements empower MPF employees to work more efficiently and effectively. Thinking ahead for future events, MPF leaders plan to use Citrix to modernize their strategic planning methods.

“Citrix will continually help streamline our grants administration process and reporting to key stakeholders, allowing the Foundation to maximize community impact when our support has never been more important,” said Nancy Enterline, MPF Vice President of Philanthropy. “We’re excited Citrix has joined us in making a difference for the communities we serve.”

In addition to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Citrix is a proud Innovation Partner of Major League Baseball and Red Bull Racing Honda.
