We’re excited to start the new year with a few new Android Enterprise features now available in tech preview for Citrix Endpoint Management. As we covered in our Part 1 blog post, we continue to work closely with Google to develop these solutions to ensure customers can deliver the best possible user experience.

We’re happy to announce support for device enrollment with Okta and Azure AD for Android Enterprise. Support for both Work Profile (BYOD) and Device Owner (Fully Managed) are available. Customers can easily integrate their Citrix Cloud environment and begin enrolling devices.

Let’s look at how you can configure this new feature:

Step 1: Log on to your Citrix Cloud environment at http://citrix.cloud.com. Navigate to Workspace Configuration and select your workspace authentication type. Please note, this change will affect your entire workspace configuration when it comes to authentication. You need to make sure you are ready to move your entire workspace to this type of authentication.

If you are already set up to use Azure AD or Okta, you can skip this step.

Step 2: As shown below, configure your selected IDP for Citrix Endpoint Management in the management console by navigating over to your Settings → Identity Provider (IDP) and configuring your selected IDP. As shown in the image above, we have configured Okta.

Select Citrix Identity Provider as your IDP Type. This will ensure that the IDP that you selected for Workspace Authentication will be enabled.

That’s a wrap from the admin side!

Now let’s check out the end-user experience when configured for Work Profile with Okta and Android Enterprise. Here’s an overview of the enrollment process. Please note, you will want to be on the latest App Store version of Citrix Secure Hub when testing this feature.

First, you’ll want to start with your usual enrollment URL.

Then sign on with the Okta credentials typically associated to your LDAP account.

Once authenticated, the enrollment process will begin as it normally does when creating your Work Profile.
