Recently, I’ve written about the corollary between the video games children are playing and our work with joint alliances around Cloud and Workspace . Today I’ll share my own throwback obsession (let’s just say there are lots of roller coasters) and explain the parallels of this game and how Citrix is approaching Workspace Security with our alliances.

From my park’s management console, I’m able to oversee the activities across my very own amusement park and monitor ride traffic, visitor satisfaction, areas in need of repair, and yes, often identify where a crew member needs to go to clean up after a crazy ride. In my virtual world, I’ve seen theme parks managed at their best (mine) and at their worst (my boys … did you know passengers can fly off the rides?).

In the end, success in the game is about managing visitor experience and maintaining security of the park itself. Take the roller coasters out of the equation (unless you work at a startup) and you have the challenges most organizations are looking to address and the balance they’re hoping to achieve when it comes to securing their organization and providing flexibility to their employees.

Like at the Citrix Cloud Summit and Citrix Workspace Summit, we have several exciting updates around our alliances that are being unveiled at the Citrix Security Summit.

  • We’re announcing an expansion of the Citrix Ready Workspace Security Program to include zero trust solutions from trusted and verified partners. With the Citrix Ready Workspace Security Program, companies can effectively evaluate their existing security strategies and leverage existing investments to quickly design and implement a zero trust framework that delivers results. Among the first partners whose solutions have been verified as Citrix Ready: Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Okta, and Splunk.
  • Sunil Potti, GM and VP of Cloud Security, Google Cloud, and Tim Minahan, our Executive Vice President, Business Strategy, and Chief Marketing Officer, discuss how Citrix and Google Cloud are partnering with a focus on workspace security, empowering customer with zero trust approaches. Together, our companies have the opportunity to usher in a better, safer normal with secure workspaces built on a foundation of the global Google Cloud network and Citrix’s layered security capabilities.

Each of these sessions, available now on our Citrix Security Summit page, will give you valuable insights into considerations organizations must undertake when it comes to workspace security. While you don’t often hear technology infrastructure compared to a roller coaster, you have to consider all the ups and downs when it comes to protecting your organization. It’s a little trickier than adding seatbelts or lap bars, or just asking an 8 year old to reduce the throttle, but Citrix is working with our alliance partners to bring forward best practices and solution interoperability to ensure organizations have the solutions they need to protect their infrastructure and deliver a great experience to their users — and, in the end, keep their business secure and on track.
