Citrix Content Collaboration is not only asecure enterprise file sync-and-sharing service that helps organizations to meet their data security requirements, it also enables end users to work and collaborate from anywhere. Users can access and sync all their data from any device and securely share it with colleagues and customers, while meeting strict corporate security and compliance requirements. It offers the best of both worlds!

Citrix Content Collaboration is offered as a cloud-based data mobility solution, but customers also can store data on-premises with in-house StorageZone Controllers or in a hybrid model.

To help you get the most out of Citrix Content Collaboration, I wanted to cover a few tools that can help your end users to be more efficient.

  1. ConnectorsConnectors are a great way to help your users access files and folders stored on a connected on-prem or cloud-based resource. Users will have the ability to interact with data in stored locations from web applications or mobile apps. The two main types of connectors that Content Collaboration uses are on-prem Connectors and Personal Cloud Connectors. On-prem data locations such as SharePoint sites or network file shares can be accessed. Please note, these connectors may require additional configuration changes in your local environment.
  2. Outlook Integration: Citrix Files for Outlook enables users with a ShareFile license to interact with all their files directly through Microsoft Outlook and provides the recipient with a link to the attachment in the body of the email. This integration gives users the ability to send large attachments via email with ease and verify that attachments are delivered securely. Additionally, you can choose to send all attachments (or all attachments of a particular size) via Citrix Files rather than your internal email server.
  3. Versioning: If your employees work in an environment where several people are likely to edit the same document, potentially at the same time, version history can be vital. ShareFile’s version history feature automatically keeps a history of every change and revision that is made to a document; this way your collaborative projects are simple to track. Authors don’t need to save a new version; all edits are tracked by ShareFile in real time. No more editing an out-of-date version of a document, then having to redo those edits!

If you aren’t already taking advantage of these features, I encourage you to check them out. If you have any questions, be sure to join our next ACE Meetup on September 25 so you can Ask the Cloud Experts! Register today!
