Raw, frozen chicken entrees have been linked to seven cases of salmonella in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Department of Health and Department of Agriculture determined there were two separate outbreaks involving two distinct, unrelated producers.

Four people were sickened from the first outbreak that occurred between April fifth and June eighth.  The strain is linked to Barber Foods Chicken Kiev, a product sold at many different retailers, including grocery store chains.

The second outbreak affected three people between May ninth and June eighth.  The salmonella strain was traced back to Antioch Farms brand Cordon Bleu products.

The seven people sickened range in age from 19 to 82 and all reside in the Metro area.
