“Spices play the main role in the epic play called ‘Bakery.’” This thought process is what led Tough Slate Design to create an entire line of packaging for the featured players in the baking process. Baking, like theater, is an ambitious endeavor but also enjoyable and entertaining at the same time. Furthermore, a play wouldn’t be very exciting without the main characters, just as baked goods would be plain without the spice.
The spice containers are shaped like structures you might find in the middle of the sidewalk of a bustling city, and the label is a poster advertising the show. The line features a wide variety of bold, fun colors in a colorblock design look stunning together together.
Each spice is given a name inspired by theatrical masterpieces, like “Romeo and Biscuit” or “Waiting for Cupcake.” Small details, like a barcode shaped like a stage’s curtain or “Masters of Bakery Presents” at the top of each poster, tie all the spices together. The line is delightful for theater lovers, but it’s beautiful enough that even those not acquainted with theater will enjoy adding this to their spice collection.
