Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe will cut the size of its German network in half by closing its offices in Frankfurt and Berlin later this year, The American Lawyer has learned.

Orrick’s global management committee approved the closures last week, with partners informed on Friday. A spokeswoman for the San Francisco-based firm said it will retain its bases in Düsseldorf and Munich, with a practice focusing on M&A, technology, energy, real estate and international disputes.
