1. Madam President by Nicolle Wallace (Atria, fiction, on sale April 28)

What it's about: The president – a woman – invites the media to document a day in her life, the same day five major terrorist attacks occur on U.S. soil.

The buzz: Wallace, a former White House insider who's now on The View, is demonstrating good timing with Hillary Clinton's run – even if her fictional female president is Republican.

2. Underwater Babies by Seth Casteel (Little, Brown, non-fiction, on sale now)

What it's about: Photos of swimming babies (future Olympians?) by the author of Underwater Dogs and Underwater Puppies.

The buzz: All very cute, but can he pull off Underwater Cats?

3. Early Warning by Jane Smiley (Knopf, fiction, on sale April 28)

What it's about: This second volume in a trilogy about the Langdons, an Iowa farm family, spans 1953-1986.

The buzz: Reviewing the first book, Some Luck, for USA TODAY, Kevin Nance called Smiley's ongoing project a "masterpiece in the making."

4. The Sell: The Secrets of Selling Anything to Anyone by Fredrik Eklund (Avery, non-fiction, on sale now)

What it's about: The New York real estate broker and co-star of Million Dollar Listing New York offers advice on how to sell yourself.

The buzz:Million Dollar Listing New York just returned for its fourth season on Bravo.

5. Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland by Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus (Viking, non-fiction, on sale April 27)

What it's about: The story of two of the women kidnapped and held captive for a decade by Cleveland school bus driver Ariel Castro.

The buzz: Michelle Knight, the third kidnapped woman in the house, had a top 10 USA TODAY best seller last year with her memoir, Finding Me.
