Bokeh-licious! This gorgeous card was created by Carol McFarland, today’s guest stamper and a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Virtual Community. The splashy color combination and watercolor effects (Bokeh style, defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”) are breathtaking!
The artfully snipped flower (Stampin’ Up! Blended Bloom, #135906) brings the card to life with a modern dash of spring! For full details and to see more of Carol’s talent, please visit her blog, In My Creative Happy Place.

Carol’s card is very pretty and oh so smart!
Lets hope those of you who are still shivering from winter get some sunshine and warmer temps soon!
Ahhh! The card feels like Spring!
Now if only all this snow (4ft, where I am) will melt and go away!
Alas, we have 4-8 inches of the white stuff coming tonight and overnight:(
And more this week, mixed with rain.
Oh well, we do what we can do! I have finally agreed with the Hubster…..we are moving South!
Till then….this card picks us up from the winter doldrums!!!
What a wonderful comment to read this Sunday morning, Penny. Thank you!
Hi Mary, what a WOW card. The colors r so vibrant and beautiful. You r one of a few MOST WONDERFUL, helpful demonstrators. Haven’t talked to u since u moved to AZ. You r one of my top 4 visits every morning. As a demo. We sometimes need extra help creating. Thank goodness for such wonderful FRIENDS.
Absolutely beautiful, Carol – every detail! Thanks for sharing this with us, Mary.
Thanks, Maria! She will love the visit and positive words!
Oh my gosh Mary, this card is stunning, what beautiful effect with the water color of the background panel. I’ve heard of this technique but never tried it, I think I need to do that, it’s truly wonderful.
The beautiful flower is gorgeous too, heat embossing it in white truly makes this bloom pop off the screen, I love the dimension she achieved by paper piecing it, so lovely.
This card should be sent to dear Mother Nature, maybe she will remember that Spring should be arriving for all of us frozen folks up here in 21 days!!!!!
Thank you for sharing Carol’s card today, I’m hopping to her blog to thank her for creating this beauty.
