Indiana Pork partners in Operation Christmas

Indiana Pork

Indiana Pork is partnering with the Metro Baptist Center of Indianapolis to provide hams for its annual Operation Christmas initiative.  Indiana Pork donated $2,500 towards the purchase of 600 hams for Christmas food baskets.

Tom Polak, executive director for the Metro Baptist Center says without Indiana Pork’s partnership this wouldn’t be possible.  “Indiana Pork’s donation allows the families we support to enjoy a ham this holiday season,” he says.

The Operation Christmas initiative also includes distribution of more than 2,500 shoe boxes containing gifts for children ages 12 and under.

Sarah Ford, director of checkoff programs at Indiana Pork says ham is a Christmas tradition.  “It is something we are privileged to help provide to those in Indianapolis who may be struggling a bit this holiday,” she says.
