Harry Potter's adventures may be long over, but J.K. Rowling continues to keep giving her fans little gifts of information

about her magical world. This time she's offering a Hanukkah gift of sorts.

When a fan asked if there were any Jewish wizards or witches at Hogwarts, Rowling had a pretty clear answer:

What with this and the revelation that Florean Fortescue was the only character Rowling ever regretted killing off, we feel that we should go back and pay way more attention to all the minor characters in these books. Next thing you know we're going to find out that Penelope Clearwater is secretly Harry's cousin or something.
