Allen Park — Despite reports to the contrary, the NFL did fine Lions center Dominic Raiola for taking out his frustration on Patriots defensive lineman Zach Moore at the end of Sunday's 34-9 loss in New England.

According to league spokesman Michael Signora, the NFL fined Raiola $10,000 for clubbing Moore in the back of the head on third-and-9 with 57 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Raiola said Tuesday he would not be fined, and the NFL Network reported the same thing Monday.

Raiola did not receive a fine for cutting Moore at the knees on the final play, a kneeldown by Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. The cut was legal because Moore was not engaged.

The NFL Rule Book prohibits, "striking, swinging at, or clubbing the head, neck, or face of an opponent with the wrist(s), arm(s), elbow(s), or hand(s)," according to Signora.
