The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association will hold a replacement female sale on Friday, November 28 at the Muskingum Livestock Auction in Zanesville.

John Grimes, Extension beef coordinator at Ohio State University says consignments include mature cow, less than five years of age and bred heifers.

“And we do have a good bit of breed diversity this time, a lot of Angus base crosses, Simmental-Angus, we actually have a very nice set of purebred Limousin and some Shorthorns,” Grimes said. “And they’re bred for different calving dates, basically from January through the first of June and we have a handful of cows with babies at their side.”
