Brian James Footwear – Gorgeous, Comfortable Shoes (Yes, Really)

I received a pair of shoes at no charge for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post and all opinions are my own. I adore shoes but I’m incredibly picky about what I like as far as style and I won’t suffer for the sake of fashion. If you want a spot in my closet you better be comfortable. As a result, it takes me forever to find something I like; if you gave me a wad of cash and told me to buy whatever I wanted, it would probably take me a month to choose.

I’ve been looking for a pair of every day, slip on shoes that were both comfortable and cute for a very long time. I have a pair of flats in brown but even having my jeans hemmed, I end up traipsing on their ends. I ordered a different style from the same brand, black, and had a bit of a hidden wedge. After two size up exchanges, I gave up. *sigh* I had heard of Brian James Footwear (the brand was created by Pediped founder Angela Edgeworth) but I hadn’t looked on their site much until recently. They offer flats, sandals, boots and pumps in 2.5 and 3.5″ heel heights.

I received the 2.5″ wedge pump in charcoal leather. I selected the EU 37 which s a 6.5-7 and it fit perfectly. I’m normally a 6-6.5 but this style runs a bit small. I slipped my foot in and said “aah.” They aren’t kidding when they say the comfort sets them apart. There’s no pinching or rubbing, the sole is grippy and flexible and I find them every bit as easy to wear as a flat.

They’re also classically beautiful and go with just about everything. My husband laughed & said they really are Pediped for grownups.

The shoes have a leather lining, cushioned insole (extra padding at the ball and heel) and elasticized top.

If you’re looking for a shoe with the comfort of a ballet flat but the boost of height from the wedge, this shoe is for you.

The same shoe comes in a 3.5″ wedge, cocoa or black leather and the 3.5″ comes in a gorgeous oxblood color as well. Prices range from $79-$159 and the quality reminds me of brands twice the cost.

Well you totally just sold me, those look adorable! My feet get a half size bigger every time I get pregnant so I’m trying not to buy any nice shoes until we’re done having kids 😉 But once I know I won’t be outgrowing shoes anymore, I hope I’ll remember to look into that brand!

I just ordered a pair of flats – I wanted to buy the wedges in every color but I figured the flats would be more practical (I really need a pair of black, every day, slip on shoes that aren’t flip flops!)
