South Dakota Governor gets BIO award

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has been chosen by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) for its 2014 Food and Agriculture Governor of the Year Award.

According to Prairie Business, the governor was recognized for leadership and commitment to strengthening the state’s agricultural and livestock biotech industries.  Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of BIO, tells the magazine that Daugaard “is emerging as a world leader in agriculture biotechnology, especially in the growing field of animal biotechnology.”
