U.S. soybean condition rating improves, corn holds

 

This year’s U.S. corn and soybean crops remain in great shape.

As of Sunday, 96% of corn has dented, compared to the five year average of 97%, while 60% has reached maturity, compared to 70% on average, and 12% is harvested, compared to 23% on average. 74% of U.S. corn is rated good to excellent, unchanged on the week.

69% of soybeans are dropping leaves, compared to 71% on average, and 10% is harvested, compared to 17% on average. 72% of U.S. beans are in good to excellent condition, up 1% from last week.

94% of the spring wheat crop is harvested, compared to 96% on average. For winter wheat, 43% has been planted, compared to 36% on average, and 14% has emerged, compared to 12% on average.

49% of U.S. pastures and rangelands are called good to excellent, down 2% from a week ago.
