It’s the most ridiculous prospect – reviewing my own range, so I’m not going to! At the end of the day, it will stand or fall by your reviews, not mine, so instead I’m just going to explain a little about the products in a series of posts. Starting with the Nail Collection, above, it’s one of the sets that I am genuinely the most delighted with.

I’m going to do a couple of posts on the whole journey of creating the BritishBeautyBlogger & Marks & Spencer Beauty collection – a limited edition collection running from October to February next year. I remember when it came to colour selection for a winter range, it was the end of spring, when my eyes were craving brights, so I had to get myself into the winter zone. Nonetheless, I like brights in winter – there’s only so much grey anyone can take! So, I sneaked a couple of more lively shades in there.

The colours in the nail wheel swatch above from bottom to top are Melted, Cafe Creme, Mull, Pop, Ice Fall and Milky Pink. You have no idea of the massive thrill of name-choosing, although when it came to it I didn’t have the leisure of taking my time – they needed to be named in about half an hour flat!

Ice Fall

Ice Fall is an irridescent shade – an icy top coat so you can put the winter frost into you manicure whenever you want to by adding it on top of any existing shade. I love it over Melted as a milky wash of shimmer (seen above) that takes the tone down by one but lifts with the twinkles. I wanted colours that would tick the moody winter box but also flash in some brighter hues that can be ‘iced’.

The BritishBeautyBlogger & Marks & Spencer Beauty collaboration (with gorgeous illustrations by my lovely friend Nuno da Costa) launches in mid October. The Nail Collection is £14 for 6 shades.
