Would you like your laptop to turn on and boot up in seconds with up to 9 hours of battery life? I would and I found a laptop that does just that. It’s the HP Chromebook. I didn’t believe it until I tried it.
Seriously, I have to open up the laptop every once in a while, just to see if it does it…and every time, I open it, it’s on immediately or if off, it boots in seconds. I just log-in and start working. That is my FAVORITE feature. Let’s discuss why.
Why a Fast Bootup is Exciting
Let’s assume for a moment that you are love tech or you probably wouldn’t be there. When you need or want to use your technology, you do not want to sit for a few minutes and wait for it to turn on.
When that happens, I do the tech wander. I turn to another device and before you know it, I’ve spent an hour procrastinating because I was waiting for my laptop to boot up.
But, if my laptop boots up in seconds, then instead of wandering, I log in and start working.
- I don’t procrastinate.
- I don’t get sidetracked.
- I don’t wander
I get to work, so it saves me more than just seconds of time. Time is money they say!
Up To 9 Hours Battery Life
Depending on what you are doing on the laptop, you can get up to 9 hours of battery life on the HP Chromebook 140q020nr. That means, you can take the laptop with you and leave the charger behind. This is what I saw when I opened the laptop today.
My favorite place to work is any local eatery that has free WiFi and they rarely have plugs. I don’t want to worry about my laptop dying in the middle of a very important post.
I didn’t even come close to that when I brought the HP Chromebook while working at a fast food restaurant the other day. The Chromebook battery outlasted me!

Yes, Chromebooks are great devices. I like the fact that they are fast (loading times, actual usage performance), cheap and they have long battery life.
However, the lack of apps it’s one of the motives that I don’t (yet) buy a Chromebook.
Yes, it usually take some time for the apps to catch up. Most of the things I use I can access via the Chrome browser, so it hasn’t been a big issue for me. But it all depends on the tools you use.
