Iowa crops progressing nicely

The weekly Crop Progress Report from the National Ag Statistics Service says Iowa corn is 88 percent dough, 15 points ahead of the five-year average.  33 percent is dented, 9 points behind the five-year average.  The crop is rated 75 percent good to excellent condition.  94 percent of the Iowa soybeans are setting pods, up 6 points for the week and 1 point ahead of the five year average.  The crop is rated 73 percent in good to excellent condition.
