Base milk prices increase

There will be a little more in the milk check this month, after declining for the last two months, the base milk prices increased a little for July.  Class II base is $24.41 per hundredweight up 47 cents from June and $5.19 above July of 2013.  The Class III base for July is $21.60, up 24 cents from June and $4.22 above a year ago.  Class IV base is $23.78, up 65 cents from June and $4.88 above last July.

Component prices per pound for July: butterfat $2.6349; protein $3.1798; nonfat solids $1.677: other solids $0.5046.
