Farm Science Review around the corner

Hard to believe the 2014 Ohio State Fair begins next week (July 23-August 3), it’s even harder to believe we’re less than 60 days away from the 2014 Farm Science Review.

Assistant Manager Matt Sullivan says the show will again feature a sold-out exhibitor field and plenty of field demonstrations.

“Crops are awesome,” said Sullivan. “We started tasseling on June 30, if we can hit tassel by, we always say by July 10^th we’re okay, soybeans are blooming, so were on schedule to have one of the best crops we’ve had again.”

To handle that crop, a new grain storage system is being built and will be operational during Farm Science Review, September 16-17 and 18.
