I was really impressed with both the service and product on the short 2 hour and 45 minute flight from Hong Kong to Bangkok – lie-flat seating and service quality in-line with if not better than the JFK-HKG leg. Cathay operates several aircraft on the route and this flight was operated by an A340. This is part four of a thirteen part trip report from my third and most recent trip back to Thailand.

Very happy with the separate business class boarding as the line was HUGE…
Lie flat-seats, not as nice as the updated 777-300ER but extremely comfortable for a sub three hour flight.
StudioCX with the same extensive library as the 777, headphones, and power outlet (no USB input).
Menu – I went with the Thai green curry chicken:
Warm towel prior to take off, before the meal, and before landing! Drinks prior to take-off…
Premium lane access upon arrival in Bangkok:

Why don’t you write about the “cattle” class, the business class will always look sooooo nice where they pretend you exist by addressing you by your name, and I just do love the real serving glasses/silverware versus plastic….sporks for the less priviledged…..but to be fair, I must say CX does have good service in economy as compared to many others.
