I was looking at prices for AA flight from New York and noticed that their pricing seems a touch odd. Good if you are looking for BA Tier Points, but even that needs careful searching. The cheapest way is via Chicago or Dallas, but less Tier Points. There is a flight where First Class is cheaper than Business (on a 3-class aircraft), and a combination where (for maximum Tier Points) you route through Miami. The three options yield 120, 210 and 270 Tier Points respectively. Odd!
