I received several emails with time changes for flights coming up at the start of June this morning.

Weird I thought, as all flights to and from Cairo had changed by an hour. Had Daylight Savings/Summer Time just be discovered by Cairo?

No, it appears that Egypt regularly change their clocks.

Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 1:00:00 AM local daylight time instead

Friday, September 26, 2014, 12:00:00 Midnight clocks are turned backward 1 hour to
Thursday, September 25, 2014, 11:00:00 PM local standard time instead
