Earlier this week, I posted about how Hyatt was giving away free Hyatt Platinum status to everyone by mistake as well as with a fast track offer for Diamond including those who are already Diamond and want to qualify of only 20 stays or 40 nights.

This was targeted for Microsoft employees, but at no point in the registration process did they ask if you were a Microsoft employee or verify any information.

Meanwhile, some readers emailed me that their accounts had already updated to Platinum status as well as that the Hyatt Diamond fast track promotion had been applied and confirmed by an email from Hyatt.

Below is an email a current Hyatt Diamond member forwarded me:

Bottom Line, if you were lucky enough to get in on this as a Hyatt Gold Passport member, your account should now be updated to Platinum and if you are currently a Hyatt Diamond member you will only need 20 stays or 40 nights to re-qualify for your status this year!

Did anyone else receive emails from Hyatt confirming their registration?
