Yesterday I posted about cheap fares to Hawaii from Atlanta and Dallas (and now Charlotte has been added to the mix), but today, The Flight Deal blog has found some very reasonable fares to the Caribbean for around $300-ish.
This is for flights from Newark, Houston, Dallas, Philly, Charlotte, and Phoenix, and to the following Caribbean destinations:
- St. Lucia
- Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
- Aruba
- St. Maarten
- Nassau
- Turks and Caicos Islands
- Grand Cayman
- Grenada
- Montego Bay
- Antigua
- Punta Cana
- Santo Domingo
- St Barts
I did a quick search on Kayak.com and was able to find the sub-$300 fares from Newark to Aruba for a random week in September. Make sure to select the 3 +/- days to find the lowest fare available (assuming you are flexible).
Based on the information The Flight Deal blog found, these fares are valid for travel between now-June 12, August 11-December 17, 2014, and January-March 2015.
Remember, this might not last long, but if you are on the fence you can always purchase and cancel within 24 hours (as long as your flight isn’t for 7 or more days). Also, if you are looking for a direct flight, this might not be the fare sale for you, but it’s worth looking into regardless!

Found some flights from my airport TUL to aruba for arond $400 ish. Still not bad 🙂
