Holt Lloyd International approached The Market Creative to revitalise, simplify and refocus the Simoniz brand and packaging.
“Established in 1910, Simoniz is in fact a verb; ‘to simoniz’ is to shine. We drew on the brand’s heritage and the unique, distinctive look of its original wax packaging; a round gold tin and applied it across the entire range of almost 100 SKU’s.”
The medallion-like gold emblem sitting on the solid black background drives premium cues and produces a unified look that gives a block-branding effect – helping Simoniz to stand out in a cluttered and chaotic automative care sector. Innovations also included a simple category colour-coding system to sign-post shoppers through product types.
