The Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. As a result, Marriott members can redeem Marriott points for a stay at this hotel which is located in the heart of downtown Orlando.
During a recent golfing trip to Orlando, I was able to redeem for 2 nights at this property for only 50,000 points (25,000 per night) on a pointsaver award. I flew down on a Friday mid-day to meet a bunch of friends for a guys golfing weekend.
As a category six hotel, members can redeem 30,000 points per night for a regular award stay or 25,000 points per night for a pointsaver award stay. The lobby is relatively small and has a nice bar / restaurant over to the right of the lobby. It’s a great place to meet up for drinks before dinner.
You’ll notice plenty of artwork throughout the hotel.
At check-in, I was provided an upgrade to a one bedroom suite and offered club lounge access for the duration of our stay. The one bedroom suite was spacious with a separate living room, bedroom and bathroom which had double doors to the bedroom and living room.
The hotel bathroom products are Gilchrist & Soames, I like this product.
The Club lounge is open for evening appetizers and breakfast. The spread is generally large and they typically have both hot and gold items on offer.
On this particular night they had mini-cheeseburgers as one of the main hot items along with an assortment of cold cuts, veggies, cheeses and other things to nibble on. Drinks are not complimentary but they are much lower cost than the lobby bar.
Bottom Line
The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Orlando is a centrally located hotel that you can redeem Marriott points for. If you have Marriott status, there is a good chance you’ll be upgraded to a suite or be provided club level access. For only 25,000 points on a pointsaver award, I’d return to this hotel on a future trip.
