Perhaps in an attempt to lower expectations, the BBC is reporting that the Development Director of Heathrow Airport is saying:

“The chance of a completely smooth opening for any airport terminal in the world is low.

“We can never assume we can have a perfect opening.”

Well that’s a relief then!
