Because if you want to do that, now’s your chance.
Yup, the “limited edition” amenity kits featuring the eight CONUS hubs which were distributed on board flights for the first two months of the year are now available for sale. Just $20 each, or you can get the set of eight at the discounted price of $155 149. While supplies last, naturally, as these are a “limited edition” product.
The cynic in me wonders if they’ll just keep making more so long as passengers keep buying them.
The kits have been selling on eBay with starting prices often around $25-30, including shipping. With a shipping cost from United of ~$15 the eBay option might actually be cheaper if you’re just going for the irony collection of Denver and Cleveland (though Denver does have the Narita flight now).
Just another fun day of random crap for sale from an airline…

Not a chance in the world I pay $20 for that…
An amenity kit is something you earn. Not buy!
They can pay me based on their recent award devaluation and axing of their award program.
Well, I did buy a ton of overpriced Biman stuff last Monday but not interested in these kits hehe
I only bought a little bit of overpriced Biman stuff. Actually just a couple spare model DC-10s. Most of the rest wasn’t for sale until the weekend.
I turn them down on flights 9 times out of 10, so no way I’d buy one!
I wouldn’t pay $20 to fly UA to get one of those. They are the woooorst
