Woman in Milwaukee home injured by gunshot that may have come from outside

A 26-year-old woman was shot inside a home on the city’s northwest side Friday night and it’s believed the shot came from outside the residence, the Milwaukee Police Department said Saturday.

The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police, who said the shooting occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of West Carmen Avenue.

Police said they’re working to obtain further information about what happened.
