Fun in the sun at the Otero County Fair

ALAMOGORDO - The Otero County Fair and Rodeo dried out after rainstorms saturated the city Thursday

Rides were working and booths were in full operation for a crowds made up of children of all ages. 

Students from Alamogordo Public Schools had Friday and have Monday off for parent-teacher conferences and many of the older students were on rides such as the Zipper, Ferris wheel and two different incarnations of the Tilt-A-Whirl.

While the smaller ones were on carousels and trains.

In the pavilion the dinosaurs were not out yet but there were dig boxes set out with mock dinosaur bones for participants of all ages to uncover.

The fair continues Saturday and part of Sunday.
