Shuffling of leadership at MDA

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has shuffled some leadership following the departure of deputy commissioner Matt Wohlman.

Assistant commissioner Andrea Vaubel will replace Wohlman, who took a position with Land O’Lakes.

Ag Commissioner Dave Frederickson also named Whitney Place as Assistant Commissioner to oversee the Ag Marketing and Development and Plant Protection Divisions.

Place was the director of government relations for MDA, a position that policy specialist Craig McDonnell will now oversee.

Frederickson says the new appointments are effective immediately.
