Court exempts Iowa from WOTUS rule
A federal judge in North Dakota has ruled Iowa can join other states that have an injunction against implementation of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.
Iowa was not one of the original states in the lawsuit, but Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds had asked the court to allow the state to join in.
The Waters of the U.S. rule is now on hold in 28 states, including the Brownfield states of Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri and Nebraska. The rule is still in effect in 22 states, including Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan.
