Endangered Species Act on Chopping Block

President Trump and Interior Secretary, Ryan Keith Zinke, are Moving to Rollback the Critical Protections for Wildlife.

Trump and Zinke are moving to gut numerous Regulations that Implement the Endangered Species Act (ESA), effectively Decimating Protections for Imperiled Species and their Ecosystems. This would make it easier than ever for Big Polluters to Drill for Oil and Gas while Dismissing Wildlife Impacts.

They are attempting to slide this Attack under the Rug, so we need to show them that the Public is Paying Attention and won't let this stand. They are accepting Public Input on these Damaging Proposals, but Only until September 24th.

This is nothing more than the latest move by Trump and Zinke to Open up more Protected Places to Big Polluters. From Decimating Protections for Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante to Opening up our Coasts to Offshore Drilling, the Trump Administration has shown time and time again that they will stop at nothing to Destroy Environmental Safeguards for Big Polluter Profits.

The ESA is one of our greatest Conservation Successes, the Law has saved 99% of listed Species from Extinction. But as Climate Change gets Worse, so many more Species need our Help. If Trump and Zinke's plans move forward, our ability to Protect Species like the Spotted Seal, Northern Spotted Owl, and Southern Sea Otter, could be completely wrecked. Without the ESA, these Critical Species, and the Ecosystems and Economies that depend on them, will face Extraordinary Threats like Drilling or Mining in their Habitats.

We cannot Effectively Protect our Communities and Planet without upholding critical Safeguards for our Wildlife. As the Trump Administration undermines our Nation's Ability to Act on Climate Change, we cannot let this Fight for one of our Bedrock Environmental Protections Fall by the Wayside.
