A Federal Judge just announced that a Full Environmental Impact Statement must be Completed before TransCanada can begin Construction on Keystone XL. This News comes days after the U.S. State Department greenlit the Pipeline, citing a Sham Environmental Assessment based on an Outdated 2014 Report.
The Keystone XL Pipeline was a Bad idea when it was first Proposed a Decade ago, and it's an even Worse idea today. We need to stand up and say enough is enough, the Keystone XL Pipeline is All Risk and No Reward for the Land, Water, and Tribal Nations in its Path.
Because the Current Acting EPA Administrator is a Lifetime Lobbyist for Big Polluters. While Serving as an Aide to Senator Inhofe (R-OK), one of the Biggest Climate Change Deniers, Andrew Wheeler worked to Pass Legislation that would have Delayed Critical Actions to Reduce Climate Change.
As a Lobbyist for some of the Biggest Polluters in the Country, including Murray Energy, Wheeler worked against Protections for Clean Air, clean Water, and our Public Lands. We can't let him become the Permanent EPA Administrator if he's not going to do the Job.
Because Trump and Zinke have just Opened the Arctic Refuge for Drilling. The Bureau of Land Management is about to make a Big Decision about the Future of Drilling in the Arctic Refuge. We still have a chance of Stopping this Disaster from happening, we need to flood Congress with Thousands of Letters and Calls from Angry Constituents.
Because this year is the most Important Midterm Election in Decades. we need to Build a Movement that is prepared to Win, by Voting to Block, and even Reverse, Trump's worst attacks on the Environment.
