Blast Fitness closes in West Allis, its last location in Wisconsin

Blast Fitness in West Allis has closed, leaving Blast Fitness with no locations left in Wisconsin.

The gym at 901 S. 60th St., West Allis, closed Friday, Aug. 24, and transferred its patrons’ memberships to Anytime Fitness, according to a message sent to members and posted on the Blast website.

Blast’s location in Cudahy closed Aug. 22. 

West Allis Blast members will have their memberships transferred to the future Anytime Fitness in West Allis, opening in the fall of 2019, according to the message. In the interim, memberships will be held at the Anytime Fitness location at 6015 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee.

“To ensure that there is no interruption to your workouts, our friends at Anytime Fitness are excited to welcome you immediately,” the message said. “The friendly and professional staff at Anytime Fitness will make you feel welcome and confident as you continue to work towards your fitness goals.”

Blast Fitness members will be provided with a free Anytime Fitness key fob that allows 24-7 access along with no cost for tanning and hydromassage at the Forest Home Avenue location. The new Anytime Fitness membership will include special pricing for Blast Fitness members for a limited time, the message said.
