Kohl's Corp. has cut 60 technology jobs in a restructuring move.

Kohl’s Corp. cut 60 jobs Wednesday, most of them at its Menomonee Falls headquarters, as it reshapes its technology strategy, the company confirmed.

The layoffs come as the nationwide retailer continues to move most of its technology platforms to cloud-based services and remote data centers, allowing for increased automation, Jen Johnson, senior vice president for corporate communications, said in an email.

“After careful planning and consideration, Kohl’s reduced approximately 60 technology positions,” Johnson said. “Impacted associates will be offered a severance package, including career counseling and outplacement services.”

Kohl's employs about 5,000 people in Menomonee Falls.
