Die Cut Thank You Tag

I have a pretty die cut thank you tag to share with you today.  Before I start my project description I want to say how much I enjoyed working with Rubbernecker Stamps this past weekend at the Scrapbook Expo in Schaumburg, IL. and meeting so many paper crafters.  I was especially thrilled to meet Beverly Barton, one of my fellow friends from Splitcoaststampers.

My project was made using Rubbernecker Nested Tag Stitch, Leaf Group, Pots With Scallops, Tiny Flower Buds, Flower Stems, Grass and Best Friends stamp set.

Come see how I made this die cut thank you tag with lovely flower pots.

Die Cut Thank You Tag Background Layer

I began by cutting the largest tag die using white cardstock and then cut the small circular hole for the ribbon.  Next, I used a cloud template, ink blending tool and Tumbled Glass ink to create the soft cloudy background. I stamped the thank you sentiment on the background with VersaFine Onyx Black.

The Tag Frame and Grass

I used the two largest tag dies to cut the frame.  I lined the tags up in place on my magnetic platform to form the frame and cut.  I used double stick tape to attach two grass sections to the back of the frame.  Next, I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the background layer.

Come see how I made this die cut thank you tag with dotted flower pots.

The Flower Pot Foliage

I cut the flower pots in the same blue card stock to match the frame.  I highlighted the scallop border on the pots by applying white Nuvo Crystal Drops and added a few polka dots to the pots to finish.  Once the crystal drops were totally dry I began arranging the foliage and flowers.  For the largest pot I cut a section of the Leaf Group and cut the branches apart.  I attached the smaller pieces of foliage to the back of the pots with glossy accents and then  worked my way back adding larger pieces of foliage to create height.  I cut several sections of flower stems to use in the smaller pots.  I attached the stems to the pots using glossy accents, starting with the trimmed off shorter sections and then adding taller stems behind them.

The Flowers

I cut the tiny flowers in pink and again in white.  I used my smallest tip stylus and molding pad to form all the flowers.  Next, I attached three flowers in a cluster formation on scrap cardstock using glossy accents.  Once the adhesive was dry and the buds were secure I cut around them to create my tiny cluster flowers.  I arranged the flowers on the foliage and attached with glossy accents.  I added the close up picture above to show the sparkle that I added using the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

Come see how I made this die cut thank you tag with pretty flower pots.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my die cut thank you tag.  It seems most of us think of making tags only for Christmas presents but they can also dress up a present for any occasion.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great week.
