Southwest Florida forecast: Another round of heavy rain and storms today

NBC-2

After a very stormy afternoon on Saturday, we calmed down overnight. That calming down has actually led our skies to clear as well, so expect quite a bit of sunshine as you walk out the door on this Sunday morning.

Calm conditions will remain through the morning hours, but around 2 p.m. this afternoon, the storms will start developing in the southeast continue to move and develop up to the north and northwest.

While the storms are expected to remain close to the I-75 corridor, a push inland is possible during the late afternoon. Like yesterday, it's going to be a warm one before the rain moves in. Expect high temperatures in the low 90s.

Boaters need to be aware of a few isolated showers and storms in the Gulf this morning and the potential for storms during the afternoon. Read more ⇒
