U.S., China trade talks to resume later this month

 

Director of the National Economic Council and Presidential advisor Larry Kudlow told CNBC Thursday morning trade negotiations between the United States and China will resume later this month.

China’s Commerce Ministry says a delegation will head to Washington D.C. at an unspecified date for low level talks with U.S. Treasury Department officials.

A tariff battle between the between the U.S. and China has pressured prices for a number of U.S. ag products and commodities, including soybean and lean hog futures, both of which were up sharply Thursday morning in response to the news.
