Join friends and neighbors in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 22, at Wingfield Park in Ruidoso.

From 9 a.m. to noon, residents and visitors will show their support for finding a cure to the disease that afflicts 36,000 New Mexicans. The number increases each year.

Alzheimer's Disease impacts an entire family, not just the stricken individual.

All money collected locally will stay in Lincoln County to provide education programs, respite care, and identification bracelets.

While $5 is charged to walk, all donations are welcome. The walk is open to individuals, families and groups. Come and enjoy the wonderful mountain weather. Children's activities also will be provided.

Booths are available for $50. Vendors can contact Karen Rounds of Edward Jones at 575-630-0299 or karen.rounds@edwardjones.com.

Show up at Wingfield Park any time between 9 a.m. and noon to join the fun and walk to end Alzheimer’s.
