I enjoyed seeing the tulips in my garden this past spring.  I also appreciated this lovely beaded tulip brooch not just because it is delicate and pretty.  It is constructed and assembled on the non-opening side of an ordinary safety pin!  I think it makes a great lapel pin. The designer is Oksana Vorokhobova.

The tutorial is in 3 parts and uses what looks like 11/0 seed beads. It is also in Russian. So unless you know the language, watch carefully!

Part 1 demonstrates the construction of the flower.

Part 2 shows how to bead up the leaf portion.

Part 3 is about how to make the tube on the safety pin and connect the two previous parts.
