Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed mixed Tuesday.

August milk settled unchanged at $15.02.  September milk was up 11 cents at $16.13.  October closed up a nickel $16.31.  November was up two cents and $16.25.  December through next July contracts closed three cents lower to two cents higher.

Barrels had another day of gains, closing up $0.0225 at $1.67.  Six trades were made ranging from $1.65 to $1.6750.

Blocks were down $0.0050 at $1.6550.  Three trades were made from $1.65 to $1.66.

Butter closed up $0.02 at $2.3875.  Seven trades were made ranging from $2.37 to $2.3925.

Nonfat dry milk closed down a penny at $0.82.

Dry whey closed up $0.0025 at $0.4450.
