The Milwaukee Brewers used the off day Monday to make some player moves. They optioned relievers Jacob Barnes and Aaron Wilkerson to Class AAA Colorado Springs and recalled outfielder Keon Broxton from that club.

The Brewers will make a corresponding move before the game Tuesday, perhaps activating reliever Taylor Williams from the 10-day disabled list after recovering from an elbow issue.

Barnes has been going up and down three times since originally being optioned to the Sky Sox in mid-May. In 41 appearances with the Brewers, he is 0-1 with a 3.61 ERA, with 46 hits and 18 walks allowed in 42 1/3 innings.

Wilkerson was summoned Saturday in Atlanta to provide a fresh arm in the bullpen for the final two games of that series but did not pitch.

This will be Broxton's second stint of the season with the Brewers. He has played in 25 games for them, contributing fantastic defense but batting only .185 with a .323 OBP, two home runs and six runs batted in. Broxton was batting .254 in 82 games with the Sky Sox with 10 homers and 37 RBI.
