Did You Get Selected for Delta’s 360 Program

Invitations started going out yesterday for Delta’s 360 program. Last year they invited a select amount of members to participate in the trial program, but yesterday marks the start of this year’s program which will last through February 28, 2015.

I wrote last year about the Delta 360 program and the benefits of the trial program.

Delta Diamond members based on spending and their value to Delta were chosen this year to be part of the Delta 360 program. While the requirements to be invited are not published, it’s believed to be that you must be a current Diamond Medallion and be spending a lot ($40,000+) with them.

Benefits of Delta 360 include:

  • The highest level of service from our Reservations Specialists and top priority call response from our Delta 360 desk; simply call the phone number on the back of your Medallion card and upon entering your SkyMiles number you will be routed to our dedicated team.
  • Assistance in making tight connections, in select airports (meaning Porsche pick-up’s in Atlanta)
  • Day-of-travel monitoring and proactive rebooking by a dedicated team of Specialists Highest rebooking priority if your flight changes

Bottom Line

If you are lucky enough to be part of Delta’s 360 program, be sure to share your experience.

Also, Delta has begun sending out Medallion packets this week as well so keep a look out for those as well.

  1. Missed it by that much….

    Spent $30,000 last year.

I wish Delta card spend helped. Put over $100k on Delta amex cards.

  2. I finished 2013 with $46k in MQDs and a balance of 329k in MQMs. I also had over $100k in Delta Amex spend. To be honest, I was a little surprised to miss the cut.

  3. Those who made it– where is your home airport? I heard that they are prioritizing customers from certain key markets, which doesn’t include ATL — i.e., they are focusing on people who they might lose to another airline.

Also, any idea whether they will extend more invitations later in the year for those who are racking up $ and MQM in 2014?

  4. Nice perks. I get picked up at the plane upon arrival at MSP and ATL. I am at $75.5k for the year so far.
Best so far was a weather cancel in DTW. Delta set me up in the Westin at the airport and $150 hotel credit. Free room and an awesome dinner on Delta. So far, no complaints.

  5. As a 360 I can tell you it’s s joke. Nothing like United’s Global Services Be honest- they just are not organized enough to handle their passengers so special services to their to customers is clearly too much

  6. I have felt for years that top customers should be treated differently. I have not made the cut and spend over $40K and travel over 250,000 miles/year on Delta. I have encouraged Delta to publish their criteria. United told me that for Global Services they give preference to high margin ticket sales (international business class) rather than absolute dollar amount of sales.

  7. I’ve been Delta 360 for the past two years. I’m not based in ATL, but fly through there often, along with DTW and JFK for international connections.

I spent about $85K on tickets last year (2014) and am just shy of $92K this year. Most of that is long-haul, multi-hop international junkets.

The services are nice, but I think that the biggest difference is that Delta is more proactive. I am a seasoned traveler and always get what I need to have a successful trip. When I was merely a DM, I had to push for resolution–but with 360 they seem to come prepared to solve the problem without me having to ask.

That sounds like no big deal, but given weather issues and flight delays, it has made for a much nicer experience, particularly internationally.

Contrary to popular belief, though, it does NOTHING for you on KLM, Air France, etc. You have to buy your ticket as a Delta ticket to see any value.

  8. I have 5.8 million MQMs (all domestic) and lifetime 11.2 million. I was a Platinum EP, but was demoted to Diamond when it was introduced. When I originally received the EP package, I was told, it would be renewed each year as long as I maintained elite status — not true. I am a one deep Corp. and now only fly an average of 5 segments per week, so I was not selected as a 360. I flew over 400 segments per year for over 10 years, but that means nothing to delta. I have had the highest level status since 1992, Royal Medalion, Platinum, and now Diamond, however, I am treated the same as the first time Diamond. I kept “all my eggs in one basket” when I could have been at the elite level on three different airlines. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

  9. I’ve stopping caring about airline loyality. Now I fly based on convince and use services like Delta’s VIP Select.
