UPDATE: LIFTOFF of Delta IV Heavy with NASA's Parker Solar Probe at 3:31 a.m. Sunday! The rocket successfully launched on its second attempt after a scrub Saturday, taking the 1,400-pound probe on its way to the sun.

NASA's high-profile Parker Solar Probe mission will take flight tonight, launching from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with ambitions targeted at unlocking the sun's mysteries.

Teams at Launch Complex 37 are targeting 3:33 a.m. Saturday for the liftoff of a massive Delta IV Heavy rocket, which will be the only United Launch Alliance heavy variant lifting off from the Space Coast this year. The window to launch the $1.5 billion mission closes at 4:38 a.m.

The forecast, according to the 45th Weather Squadron, looks favorable: 70 percent "go" during the window.
