People learn about agriculture at the Missouri State Fair
The Missouri State Fair is officially open. Fair officials’ say their hoped for takeaway is that people learn more about the state’s largest industry.
State Fair Director Mark Wolfe tells Brownfield people who come to the state fair leave the grounds knowing more about the exhibits and the people who show them.
“Ag education’s a big deal,” said Wolfe, referring to what people learn at the State Fair.
The aim, according to Wolfe, is to see that fair goers have a good time, but he says those who are generations removed from the farm should also leave with a better idea of where their food comes from. The Missouri State Fair goes until August 19th.
