Nebraska Ethanol Board names new administrator

Sarah Caswell

The Nebraska Ethanol Board has named a new administrator.

Sarah Caswell will take over for Todd Sneller, who will retire in mid-September after leading the state’s ethanol board for nearly 40 years. In making the announcement, the board said Caswell has “extensive experience in the bio-industry sector”, most recently serving as vice president of government and regulatory affairs for Edeniq, a technology firm serving the biofuels industry.

Sneller took over as administrator of the Nebraska Ethanol Board in 1979. Nebraska now has 25 ethanol plants with an annual production capacity of 2.5 billion gallons and ranks number two nationally in ethanol production.

Established in 1971, the Nebraska Ethanol Board assists ethanol producers with programs and strategies for marketing ethanol and related co-products.
