Show must go on

The Brooks Center in Clemson is hiring a front-of-house manager to oversee ushers, the box office and safety procedures for guests at the theater. A bachelor's degree is preferred for the job, which pays about $12 an hour, and the theater is looking for someone who can perform CPR. Clemson's Brooks Center for the Performing Arts

The Peace Center, downtown Greenville's premier performing arts venue, is also looking for an entertainment technician in lighting. This is a hands-on position for show and event lighting, and the lighting tech will act as the department lead, performing event management duties for assigned shows.

Wednesday job fair

A ride on the electric bus

Greenville's Proterra plant, makers of the longest-range electric city buses in the business, are looking for a new materials manager. This is a quickly growing industry, and the materials manager handles allocation, budgeting and administration. He or she must also have specialized knowledge of manufacturing controls systems and a strong acumen in forecasting product line structures and business cycles.

The materials manager will also handle projects, according to the job posting, and the ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and team player. Familiarity with APICS certification is preferred. Search for "Proterra" on indeed.com to find the job posting.
